This year’s annual shareholder meeting season, Hoa Phat Group (stock code: HPG) announced that it will welcome over 800 investors to visit the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex in late March. This is a visit to the production facility by shareholders, which is unprecedented on the Vietnamese stock market.
The shareholders will be given a tour of the complex by car, passing through key points in the closed-cycle steel production process, such as the blast furnace, the HRC steel production plant, the blast furnace area, the coke plant, and the seaport.
Hoa Phat Group shareholders were excited to visit the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex.
In addition, the shareholders attending the program will be supported by Hoa Phat with a shuttle bus from Da Nang airport and Chu Lai airport to the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex at fixed hours and one night’s accommodation at a hotel. Hoa Phat will also invite the delegations to have lunch at the hotel where they are staying on the day of the program.
On April 27, Dabaco Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company (stock code: DBC) held its 2024 annual shareholders’ meeting, attended by 294 shareholders and authorized representatives. Dabaco gave each shareholder attending the meeting 5 bottles of its own 1-liter cooking oil. It is estimated that Dabaco gave away nearly 1,500 liters of cooking oil to shareholders attending the meeting.
For PAN Group Joint Stock Company (stock code: PAN), the gifts given to shareholders attending the 2024 shareholders’ meeting included PAN products such as rice, fish sauce, and gift boxes containing cashew nuts, dried fruits, candy, and coffee.
Dabaco gave each shareholder attending the meeting 5 bottles of 1-liter cooking oil.
Similarly, Viettel Contrucstion (stock code: CTR) also gave shareholders attending the 2024 annual shareholders’ meeting on April 22 an envelope containing a voucher for a 10% discount on maintenance, repair, and installation of air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, water heaters, etc., along with a box of chocolates.
Cash and Gold Gifts
Some other companies rewarded their shareholders with cash. DIC Corporation Joint Stock Company for Investment and Development (DIC Corp – stock code: DIG) gave 10,000,000 VND to each shareholder owning 1 million DIG shares or more who attended the meeting. For shareholders holding less than 1 million shares, the amount received will correspond to the number of shares multiplied by 10 VND/share. The program applies to both direct and online shareholders.
Sacombank shareholders received 0.5 taels of 24K Than Tai gold bars.
On April 22 in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank – stock code: STB) gave each shareholder present 0.5 taels of 24K Than Tai gold bars.
At the annual shareholders’ meeting of Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (stock code: MBB) on the morning of April 19, shareholders were given an envelope containing 500,000 VND in cash when they arrived at the event. This is the same policy as in 2023.
Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (stock code: CII) also rewarded shareholders with cash. According to the number of shares owned by shareholders entitled to attend the meeting, shareholders who attend in person or by proxy will receive a cash gift through a bank transfer from the meeting organizers.
MBB shareholders received an envelope containing 500,000 VND in cash when they arrived at the meeting.
Shareholders of Bamboo Capital Group Joint Stock Company (stock code: BCG) attending the meeting will have a chance to win 500 consolation prizes worth 500,000 VND each, 20 fourth prizes with a cash amount of 5 million VND each, 15 third prizes with a value of a tablet, 10 second prizes of 3 SJC gold bars, and 5 first prizes of iPhone 15 Promax 256Gb. Finally, there will be a grand prize of 1 tael of SJC gold.
