Unusual National Assembly meeting to be held on May 2nd afternoon to review personnel work

On May 1st, 2024, the National Assembly General Secretary Bui Van Cuong issued document number 3561/TTKQH-TT announcing the press release of the expected schedule for the 7th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly.
Based on the provisions of the Constitution and the law, the National Assembly Standing Committee decided to convene the 7th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly to review personnel matters under its authority.
The session will take place on the afternoon of May 2nd, 2024, at the National Assembly House in Hanoi.
Earlier, the Party Central Executive Committee held an extraordinary meeting and agreed to allow Mr. Vuong Dinh Hue to resign from the Politburo, the 13th Party Central Committee, and the Chairman of the 15th National Assembly, at his personal request. According to regulations, the National Assembly will carry out the procedures to dismiss him.
