One of the contents of the Directive of the Chairman of the Hanoi City People’s Committee has just been issued on strengthening the management, forest protection, forest fire prevention and fighting (FFPF), and protecting wild animals and plants (WAP) in the area of the city.
Accordingly, in order to strengthen the management and protection of forests, the Chairman of the City People’s Committee requires the Departments, agencies, and the People’s Committees of districts, towns, and townships to strictly implement the directions of the Prime Minister, the Secretariat, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the City People’s Committee on this issue.
The city’s public security forces are required to strengthen the inspection and handling of violations in the forestry sector. In particular, for violations such as illegal exploitation, leveling, encroachment on forest land, illegal construction of works on forest land, acts of hunting, transporting, and illegally trading in WAP.

At the same time, be ready with forces, means, and command to participate in forest fire fighting; closely coordinate with local authorities and functional agencies in forest protection and FFPF.
Units such as the Hanoi Market Management Department, Hanoi Customs Department, the Capital High Command… timely detect, prevent, and strictly handle violations of forest product management and WAP protection in the area depending on their assigned tasks and functions.
People’s Committees of districts and towns with forests direct specialized departments and functional agencies in the area to coordinate with the Forestry Protection Department to promote the dissemination of legal regulations on forest management and protection, FFPF, and the conservation and protection of WAP species.
At the same time, strengthen inspection, promptly prevent, and strictly handle violations of the law on encroachment on forest land, deforestation, leveling, illegal construction on forest land, and illegal买卖 and assignment of forest land.
