On May 5th, the Kia Seltos 1.5 Turbo GT-Line was officially announced with a price tag of 799 million VND. It is the highest-end version of this B-segment car.Â
With the above price, the GT-Line version of the Seltos is one of the most expensive in the segment, after the Honda HR-V RS (871 million VND). The selling price is the same as the mid-range Kia Sportage (2.0G Premium) which is in the C-segment.
Version | Price |
---|---|
Seltos 1.5G AT | 599 million VND |
Seltos 1.5G Luxury | 679 million VND |
Seltos 1.5G Premium | 739 million VND |
Seltos 1.5 Turbo GT-Line | 799 million VND |
Compared to the 1.5G Premium version, consumers will have to pay an additional 60 million for a more powerful 1.5L turbocharged engine, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, smart headlights, or an ADAS driver assistance technology package with features such as adaptive cruise control, emergency brake assist, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, and door opening warning.
With better equipment than the lower versions, the Seltos 1.5 Turbo GT-Line is ready to compete with the Honda HR-V RS and the Mitsubishi Xforce Ultimate.
The engine of the Kia Seltos 1.5T GT-Line produces 158 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque, which is a 45 horsepower and 109 Nm increase compared to the naturally aspirated engine in the three lower versions. In addition, the lower versions only use the iVT continuously variable transmission. Compared to its competitors in the segment, the turbocharged engine on the Seltos is only weaker than the rival Honda HR-V (174 horsepower).
However, one thing buyers have to give up compared to the 1.5G Premium version is the full 10.25-inch digital speedometer, instead of which the GT-Line only uses a 4.2-inch semi-digital display.
Apart from the points mentioned above, the equipment and design of the GT-Line version are no different from those of the Premium version.
The Kia Seltos 2024 is a facelift upgrade.
Compared to the previous version, the exterior of the Kia Seltos 2024 is more visually appealing. The grille and front bumper have been redesigned. The shape of the headlights remains the same, but the design of the daytime running lights has been changed. The taillights are new, and they are designed to connect the two sides of the car in a fashionable way, with the main taillight placed vertically. The rear bumper has also been redesigned to be more robust and powerful. The exhaust pipe is hidden under the chassis. The 18-inch rims have a new design inspired by the new-generation Sportage.
The dashboard layout has not changed, but the details, such as the buttons and knobs on the air conditioning control panel and around the gearshift, are more sophisticated and beautiful. The parking brake has been upgraded to an electronic parking brake, which comes with an Auto Hold function. Other equipment available in the higher version includes a HUD, cooled front seats, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a central screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, etc.
