Hanoi seeks voters’ opinions on the arrangement of communal-level administrative units

At this session, the Municipal People’s Council will also consider the proposal on arranging communal-level administrative units, wards, and townships for the 2023-2025 period.

Previously, the city had implemented the arrangement of administrative units in the 2023-2025 period in districts, suburban districts, and towns in the area. After proposing a plan, the localities organized consultations with voters in the communes and wards subject to the arrangement. The results showed that the majority of voters agreed with the merger of communes and wards and the new name of the administrative unit. The People’s Councils of the districts, suburban districts, and towns also met and passed the plan for the arrangement of administrative units in their respective localities.
