Vietcombank announced that, starting today (June 4, 2024), after completing the procedures for purchasing and taking delivery of SJC gold bars from the State Bank, they will resume gold sales to customers from 1:30 p.m. onwards.
However, those wishing to buy gold can visit Vietcombank’s gold selling points to place their orders from 9:00 a.m. on June 4, 2024, and the gold purchase transaction will be executed from 1:30 p.m. at the selling price of Vietcombank at the time of the transaction.
To place a gold purchase order, customers are required to make a deposit equivalent to 10% of the order value, calculated based on the gold selling price of Vietcombank as of June 3, 2024 (VND 79,980,000 per tael), for the corresponding amount of gold bars ordered.
Vietcombank also notes that customers can make the deposit in cash or via bank transfer. In the event of a deposit being made but failure to (i) show up for payment, and/or (ii) make full payment, the customer will not be refunded the deposit corresponding to the amount of gold not purchased.
When making the deposit and when coming to the branch to purchase gold, customers are required to bring their personal identification documents such as a citizen ID card, a valid passport, or a valid government-issued ID.

It is known that Vietcombank is one of the four banks selected to sell gold to stabilize the market, along with Agribank, VietinBank, and BIDV.
Currently, Vietcombank is selling gold to the public at six locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City:
In Hanoi, there are three locations: Vietcombank Head Office at 11 Lang Ha, Thanh Cong, Ba Dinh; Vietcombank Hanoi at 11B Cat Linh, Quoc Tu Giam, Dong Da; Vietcombank Ba Dinh at 72 Tran Hung Dao, Tran Hung Dao, Hoan Kiem.
In Ho Chi Minh City, there are three locations: Vietcombank Ho Chi Minh City at 5 Cong Truong Me Linh, Ben Nghe, District 1; Vietcombank Nam Saigon at 23 Nguyen Huu Tho, Tan Hung, District 7; Vietcombank Thu Duc at 50A Dang Van Bi, Binh Tho, Thu Duc City.
