The Untapped Potential: Over 2,400 Residential Service Land Plots Await in Bac Ninh City

The city of Bac Ninh has a wealth of residential land available for development. Of its 19 wards, 11 still have land suitable for allocation as service residential land and for auctioning land-use rights. This includes 2,406 unallocated service residential land lots (comprising 1,952 service residential land lots, 442 land-use rights auction lots, and 12 resettlement land lots), as well as 22 interspersed land lots across the wards and 123 land-use rights auction lots in various projects.

Regarding the 49 DCDV land projects, 20 have been completed. There are 9 projects with land allocation decisions made by the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province, with completed technical infrastructure and land handovers, and land-use rights certificates are being processed. 17 projects have land allocation decisions but are still under construction for technical infrastructure, and beneficiaries are being reviewed. Three projects are awaiting land allocation decisions from the provincial authorities.

Local authorities are focused on resolving issues related to land allocation for public servant residential areas and addressing Conclusion 739 of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee on handling cases of unauthorized land allocation, land encroachment, and arbitrary change of land use purpose.

Concurrently, they are reviewing and reporting on the management of public land, leased land, and agricultural land. The Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Ninh City is guiding the 7-step procedure for rectifying unauthorized land allocation so that local authorities can implement it and submit classified dossiers to the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh City. The aim is to complete the process of granting land-use rights certificates to eligible households by the end of November 2024.
