Attending the product launch event were Mr. Nguyen Van Hoi, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company; Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director; Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang, Deputy General Director; Mr. Mai Tuan Dat, Deputy General Director; Board of Directors of Dung Quat Refinery and leaders of functional departments and employees participating in the research and production of the new product, TF4035.

Reporting at the launch, Mr. Le Hai Tuan, Head of BSR Research and Development, said: “After a period of focused research, in April 2024, the company successfully pilot-produced the heat-formable PP product TF4035, meeting the required technical standards. According to customer feedback after testing the product, TF4035 has been highly evaluated by large domestic processors and is considered ready for commercialization, even outperforming imported products.”

On June 30, 2024, BSR successfully produced 500 tons of TF4035 heat-formable PP, meeting the production needs of many domestic enterprises that previously relied entirely on imports for their manufacturing processes.

TF4035 PP resin pellets have a high degree of crystallinity and are used in pressure/vacuum heat-forming technology to manufacture high-quality, everyday household items such as cups, boxes, food trays, cup lids, and plastic sheets. TF4035 offers superior features such as high hardness, transparency, heat resistance, design flexibility, balanced physical properties, and ease of recycling. In terms of processability, TF4035 is very easy to work with and has excellent mold-filling properties, resulting in products with a glossy surface, uniform thickness, no warping, and aesthetic appeal.

Additionally, when using TF4035 as a raw material for processing, plastic manufacturers do not need to add other materials or additives. This ensures consistent quality in the final product and simplifies the calculation, optimization, and blending processes for the manufacturers, preventing risks associated with formula errors.

Another notable advantage of TF4035 is that it helps plastic processing units reduce the production cycle per unit, thereby increasing productivity and efficiency when using TF4035 on their existing production lines. Consequently, it helps reduce energy consumption, lower production costs, and decrease CO2 emissions, contributing to environmental protection.

The company’s leaders inspect the TF4035 heat-formable PP product storage area before delivery to customers.

Speaking at the launch event, BSR General Director Bui Ngoc Duong acknowledged and commended the efforts of the collectives and workers of BSR’s specialized departments, who have been working diligently over the years to research and successfully produce the new product, TF4035. He emphasized that TF4035 is one of the essential new products in the company’s new product development strategy. With its high applicability in daily life and unique production and consumption characteristics, TF4035 will excel in niche markets, even amidst the intense competition BSR faces from domestic and regional oil refineries.

“This successful launch of TF4035 marks a favorable beginning for BSR to continue developing and introducing new products to the market. I request that BSR’s functional departments further optimize production, raw materials, and chemicals to create high-quality, competitively priced products that can strongly compete in the market,” said BSR General Director Bui Ngoc Duong.

The company’s management presents rewards to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the research and successful production of TF4035 heat-formable PP.

The launch of the new PP product, TF4035, is a testament to BSR’s dedication and hard work over the years. From the initial planning and production process design stages to the rigorous laboratory and customer site tests and quality inspections, everything was approached with the utmost care and dedication. The first batch of 500 tons of TF4035 heat-formable PP pellets is expected to be offered to customers in July 2024.

Prior to this launch, BSR actively engaged with domestic customers to understand their needs, aiming to increase production and expand the market for new PP products. The company continues to research and develop additional PP product lines (biodegradable, glass fiber-reinforced, medical-grade, etc.) to enhance quality and value, meet market demands, and improve BSR’s competitiveness and business performance.

Representatives of the Research and Development and Production and Business Departments present the TF4035 heat-formable PP product to the Business Department and BSR Hanoi Branch, with the goal of increasing the production and sales of high-quality petrochemical products and enhancing BSR’s value.

At the launch event for the new PP product TF4035, BSR also presented rewards to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the research and successful production of TF4035.
