A New Chapter for Bac Ninh Province: Emphasizing Growth and Progress with Leadership Changes

In the afternoon of July 10, at the Kinh Bac Cultural Center, the 19th Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Council, for the term 2021-2026, inaugurated its 18th meeting, a regular mid-year session, to consider and decide on important matters, including personnel work.

The Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Council passed a resolution to relieve Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung, former Standing Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, of his duties as Chairman of the Council and to terminate his role as a deputy of the 19th Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Council, for the term 2021-2026, in accordance with his personal wishes.

Prior to this, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Chung had submitted a request for early retirement, which was approved by the Secretariat in Decision No. 1332-QDNS/TW dated June 28, 2024, and Conclusion No. 1114-KL/TU dated July 5, 2024, of the Standing Committee of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

The People’s Council passed a resolution to relieve Ms. Nguyen Huong Giang of her duties as Chairman of the People’s Committee of the 19th term, for the period of 2021-2026, according to the opinion of the Secretariat in Official Dispatch No. 10370-CV/VPTW dated June 28, 2024, from the Office of the Party Central Committee, and Conclusion No. 1114-KL/TU dated July 5, 2024, of the Standing Committee of Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, so that she can take up a new position as decided by the competent authority.

At the meeting, with a sense of urgency, seriousness, and responsibility, the delegates listened to various reports, proposals, and projects, including: Report on the socio-economic situation and steering direction of the People’s Committee in the first six months, and plan for the last six months of 2024; Proposal for the fifth adjustment of the medium-term public investment plan for the period of 2021-2025; Report on evaluating the implementation of public investment in the first six months of 2024; Adjustment of the provincial budget’s public investment plan for 2024.

The delegates also listened to the Report on evaluating the implementation of the budget estimate in the first six months and the proposal for adjusting the allocation of the provincial budget for the last six months of 2024; Report on ensuring security and order in the first six months, orientation, and tasks for the last six months of 2024; Report on the results of inspection, reception of citizens, settlement of complaints and denunciations, and anti-corruption in the first six months; and tasks for the last six months of 2024…
