The Duong Noi Urban Area is a large-scale project in the West of Hanoi, invested by Nam Cuong Group. Located in Duong Noi Ward, Ha Dong District, Hanoi, the area boasts hundreds of luxurious villas worth tens of billions of VND.

The project was commenced in 2008 with an initial investment of 7,642 billion VND. Today, many villas and adjacent houses have been completed but lie idle and deserted, with no occupants.

The 197.3-hectare project site is eerily quiet and still.

Villas have been abandoned for years, with many facilities falling into disrepair.

The villas have fallen into disrepair, with wild grasses growing rampant after years of neglect.

The interiors are mostly unfinished, as the villas remain unoccupied and unsold.

Grass and weeds have overgrown the pathways surrounding the villas.

Over time, the once-grand structures have started to rust and deteriorate.

Signs advertising the sale and rental of these million-dollar villas can be seen around the area.

The basements of these villas have turned into large pools of stagnant water.

Most of the basements are polluted, filled with garbage, and even home to schools of fish.

“These villas have been abandoned for almost a decade. Whenever it rains heavily, the basements flood, causing environmental pollution and a putrid smell. It’s a breeding ground for mosquitoes and flies, affecting the lives of those in the area,” shared a local resident.
