The Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot Expressway has a total investment of VND 21,935 billion, is about 117.5km long, and connects the two provinces of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak. This route consists of 3 component projects, which are assigned to the Ministry of Transport and the two localities through which the route passes.
Regarding Khanh Hoa, Component Project 1 of the Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot Expressway is 32km long and consists of 2 construction packages. Package 1, with a length of 22km, is carried out by Son Hai Group. Package 2, with a length of 10km, is implemented by a consortium of 4 contractors, led by Thuan An Corporation.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ha stated that Thuan An Corporation led the consortium of 4 contractors in executing Package 2 of the project. Currently, Package 2 has not started construction due to site clearance issues. The consortium has mainly focused on earthworks at certain road foundation locations, pipe casting, and beam casting for a bridge.

Moreover, after the leaders of Thuan An Corporation were prosecuted and temporarily detained, the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province directed the Project Management Unit for Transport Construction Works (the unit authorized by the provincial People’s Committee) to work with representatives of Thuan An Corporation. The provincial unit requested the enterprise to clarify its capacity to continue the package of the expressway project.
According to Mr. Ha, recently, during the exchange with related parties, the representative of Thuan An Corporation asked for the opinion of the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa province on withdrawing from the consortium of contractors implementing Package 2 of the expressway project. Therefore, the provincial People’s Committee directed relevant units to meet and find appropriate solutions to ensure the progress of the project.
