On July 31st, in New Delhi, India, within the framework of the Vietnam – India Business Forum, T&T Group and Ramky Group (India) signed a cooperation agreement in multiple fields.

Accordingly, T&T Group and Ramky Group (Ramky Infrastructure Company Limited) will collaborate on researching and developing a high-tech-oriented, modern, and synchronized pharmaceutical industrial park that meets international standards, combined with a green economy, circular economy, clean production, and efficient use of resources and energy in Vietnam.

Regarding this cooperation, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nghi, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, shared that the pharmaceutical park project will help form a chain of pharmaceutical production, from raw materials to finished products. With the advantage of a closed-loop, large-scale, concentrated process, and favorable geographical location, the pharmaceutical industrial park will help companies reduce investment costs, increase production efficiency and effectiveness, enhance competitiveness, and reduce Vietnam’s dependence on imports for essential medicines and medical equipment.

In addition, the pharmaceutical parks will also contribute to diversifying production chains, attracting large FDI inflows into the country, promoting technology transfer, developing the pharmaceutical industry, and building a pharmaceutical industry ecosystem in Vietnam.

Also, within the framework of the Vietnam – India Business Forum, T&T Group and Ramky Infrastructure Company Limited signed a cooperation agreement in principle to jointly contribute capital to develop, construct, and operate a waste treatment plant project in Vietnam.

Accordingly, the two sides will contribute capital to implement the project with an ownership ratio of 50% each; at the same time, they will seek suitable domestic and international loans to ensure the best economic efficiency for the project. In the coming time, T&T Group and Ramky will complete the necessary legal procedures to implement the project.

Meanwhile, recently, at a working session with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Mr. Ramesh Babu, Chairman and CEO of SMS Pharmaceuticals Group and CEO of Sri Avantika Contractors, expressed his hope that the Government would pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the approval and development of the project.

Specifically, the joint venture wishes to have a clean land fund of about 500 hectares to invest in building a pharmaceutical park in the Nghi Son Economic Zone, Thanh Hoa province, with a total investment of about $700 million to $1 billion in phase 1 and expand to attract an additional investment of $4-5 billion over 10-12 years.
