The all-new Mitsubishi Xforce has achieved a 5-star safety rating, the highest possible score awarded by the renowned ASEAN NCAP. As outlined on their official website, a 5-star rating signifies that the Mitsubishi Xforce excelled in all categories of safety assessments.

The tested version is Exceed in Indonesia, similar to the Ultimate version in Vietnam.
It scored an impressive 87% in Adult Occupant Protection, 85% in Child Occupant Protection, 74% in Safety Assist, and 62% in Motorcycle Safety, all surpassing the minimum requirements set by ASEAN NCAP for a commendable 5-star rating.

Automotive experts attribute this exceptional performance to the SUV’s RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution) body structure, which minimizes cabin deformation and absorbs impact energy in collisions. Standard safety features on the Mitsubishi Xforce include up to six airbags (on higher trims), rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring, a rearview camera, and the notable inclusion of Active Yaw Control (AYC), absent in some competitor models.
Notably, despite being a vehicle geared towards off-roading, the Xforce is equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and mitigation, automatic high beams, and front vehicle start alert. It also offers blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, enhancing safety for motorcyclists and other road users.
The Mitsubishi Xforce prioritizes driver control, exemplified by its Wet Mode, first introduced in the Vietnamese market. This mode optimizes traction control and AYC settings, enhancing grip on wet surfaces. It also reduces throttle sensitivity and increases steering effort, providing drivers with a more controlled and confident driving experience, especially during the rainy season in southern Vietnam or when navigating winding roads in the north.
The Xforce’s front and rear bumpers are designed with off-roading in mind, offering approach and departure angles of 21 degrees and 30.5 degrees, respectively, allowing drivers to tackle steep inclines and rough terrain with ease.
