Bac Ninh currently has 16 concentrated IPs approved by the Prime Minister for development planning with a total area of 6,397 ha. Of these, 15 industrial parks have been established, spanning 5,947 ha, with 12 IPs already operational. The established IPs have leased approximately 2,509 ha of industrial land, achieving over 60.72% occupancy rate based on the approved planning area.

As of now, the Bac Ninh IP Management Board has granted investment certificates to 2,050 projects from 37 countries and territories, including 1,428 FDI projects and 622 domestic projects. The total registered capital of newly-licensed and adjusted projects reaches 28,031 million USD, comprising 24,852.78 million USD from FDI projects and 82,654.8 billion VND (equivalent to 3,588.42 million USD) from domestic projects.

The concentrated IPs in Bac Ninh currently employ approximately 310,000 workers, including nearly 8,000 foreign workers. Local workers from Bac Ninh account for 27.9% of the total, while the remaining workforce comes from other provinces and cities across the country.

On June 26, 2014, the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh Province issued Decision No. 286/2014/QD-UBND on regulations for supporting training and employment of laborers for enterprises in the province. Accordingly, enterprises are supported with training costs for training, retraining, advanced training, and employing laborers with a fixed-term labor contract of at least one year. The condition for support is that enterprises must fully pay health insurance and social insurance premiums for laborers and fully comply with the state’s tax policies. The support level is VND 3,000,000/laborer.
