Director of the Management Board of Civil and Industrial Project in Tien Giang Province, Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong, delivers a speech.
The project, with a total investment of VND 3,856 billion, passes through the provinces of Dong Thap and Tien Giang, with the Tien Giang Provincial People’s Committee as the managing agency and the Management Board of Civil and Industrial Project Investment in Tien Giang Province as the investor.
According to Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong, Director of the Management Board of Civil and Industrial Project Investment in Tien Giang Province, the An Huu-Cao Lanh Expressway, Component 2, was approved by the Tien Giang Provincial People’s Committee under Decision No. 3421/QD-UBND dated December 29, 2023.
The total length of the route is over 11 km, including 3.8 km in Dong Thap and 7.63 km in Tien Giang. The starting point intersects with Component 1 at Km16+000 in My Hiep commune, Cao Lanh district, Dong Thap province. The endpoint intersects with the Trung Luong-My Thuan Expressway at approximately Km98+950, about 1.8 km from the An Thai Trung intersection in An Thai Trung commune, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province.

The total land area to be reclaimed for the project is over 83 hectares, including over 28 hectares in Dong Thap and nearly 55 hectares in Tien Giang. A total of 665 households are affected, including 188 in Dong Thap and 477 in Tien Giang.
Dong Thap province has compensated and cleared 168 households, with 20 households still in the process of negotiation. Tien Giang province has completed compensation for all affected households.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuong, Director of the Management Board of Civil and Industrial Project Investment in Tien Giang province, requested that the contractors concentrate all resources, including personnel, finances, machinery, and equipment, to organize a fierce and scientific construction process, ensuring technical regulations and the best quality. By doing so, the An Huu-Cao Lanh Expressway, Component 2, will be completed on schedule, contributing to the socio-economic development of the Mekong Delta region, as directed by the Prime Minister.

The Construction Corporation of Truong Son, Corps 12 (Ministry of Defense), leads a consortium of six units that won the bid for the construction of this project. The project is expected to be completed in 695 days from the groundbreaking.
