At the Annual General Meeting, QNS shareholders approved a plan to distribute dividends in 2024 of no less than 15% of charter capital, requiring a minimum expenditure of VND 551 billion. The company is expected to make at least one more dividend payment to fulfill this plan.
The largest beneficiary is Thanh Phat Trading Co., Ltd., the largest shareholder, owning over 55.5 million QNS shares, equivalent to 15.56% of capital. This is followed by the management team and their families, who also own tens of thousands to millions of shares. Notably, Vice Chairman and CEO Vo Thanh Dang holds over 30 million shares (8.42%). Combined, Mr. Dang’s family owns nearly 40.8 million shares (11.42%).
Since 2014, Duong Quang Ngai has consistently paid dividends to its shareholders, with a relatively high ratio ranging from 25-30%. In the period of 2021-2022, the company maintained a dividend rate of 30% in cash and increased it to 40% in 2023, corresponding to a payout of nearly VND 1,428 billion. This was amidst QNS reporting record profits of nearly VND 2,200 billion, a 70% increase from 2022.

An update report from SSI Securities Corporation (SSI Research) in March 2024 forecasted that QNS is likely to maintain a slight profit growth in 2025, supporting an increase in cash dividends for that year, expected to be in the range of VND 4,500-5,000 per share.
In terms of business performance, in the first six months of 2024, QNS’s net revenue reached nearly VND 5.3 trillion, and net profit exceeded VND 1.2 trillion, up 1% and 19% respectively compared to the same period last year. The company has achieved over 59% of its revenue target and over 91% of its profit target for the year.

Since the end of May, QNS share price has been adjusting downwards from its historical peak of VND 52,000 per share to around VND 48,000 per share, a decrease of 8% in almost a quarter. However, it still remains 12% higher than at the beginning of the year.
