Sonny Dickson, a prominent leaker, recently shared images of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max color variants, including a rose gold or “bronze” option, which is set to replace the current Titan Blue option on the iPhone 15 Pro lineup.
The Titan Blue iPhone 15 Pro Max has been the least popular color choice among Vietnamese consumers. Despite the initial scarcity of the devices during their launch, the Titan Blue models were readily available and often overlooked. Local retailers now offer these models at a lower price compared to other color options.
According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and other leakers, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to feature a pink (or rose gold) color option, replacing the Titan Blue. Sonny Dickson’s images give us a glimpse of what to expect, especially with the rose gold variant.
Although speculated to be “rose gold,” the iPhone 16 Pro seems to lean more towards a bronze hue. This fills the void left by the absence of a gold option in the iPhone 15 Pro series last year.
The iPhone 15 Pro series marked the first time Apple discontinued the gold option. Debuting with the iPhone 5s in 2013, gold has been a popular choice among Asian users, including those in Vietnam. Gold symbolizes luxury and elegance and is also considered auspicious by some. Therefore, the return of this color option with the iPhone 16 Pro could be an enticing factor for users considering an upgrade.
Previously, rumors suggested that Apple is employing a new coating process for the iPhone 16 Pro’s frame to achieve a shinier appearance compared to the brushed aluminum finish of the iPhone 15 Pro. This new process is said to give the iPhone 16 Pro’s frame a look similar to stainless steel found on previous iPhone models, while offering improved scratch resistance.
