On the morning of August 19, DIC Corp (stock code: DIG) and BIDV signed a credit contract with a total limit of VND 1,500 billion to finance the Cap Saint Jacques Complex project, phases 2 and 3.
The Cap Saint Jacques Complex is located at 169 Thuy Van, Ward 8, Vung Tau City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province. The complex spans an area of 11,014 square meters and entails a total investment of VND 3,577 billion, divided into three phases. Phase 1 comprises the CSJ Tower (C1), a 30-story building with 372 apartments, and the Aurora Conference Center, a 5-story facility. Phase 2 features the DIC Star (C3), a 5-star hotel standing 26 stories tall with 299 rooms. Phase 3 consists of Bioss (C4), a 31-story complex of apartments and a 5-star hotel with 315 units.

Signing ceremony between DIC Corp and BIDV.
Up to now, DIC Corp has basically completed the legal procedures for the CSJ Complex and finished the construction of Phase 1, which has been inspected and put into operation by the Ministry of Construction. In May 2024, DIC Corp held a ceremony to restart the CSJ project.
Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong, the new Chairman of DIC Corp’s Board of Directors, shared that the CSJ project is a labor of love for DIC.
In the first half of this year, the handover of products at the CSJ – Phase 1 brought significant revenue to DIC Corp. The company also noted that the profit peak will occur at the end of this year when a series of projects are completed and opened for sale.
In terms of business performance, DIC Corp announced its Q2 2024 financial report, showing a fivefold increase in revenue compared to the same period last year, reaching over VND 820 billion, with an after-tax profit of more than VND 125 billion, nearly fourteen times higher than the previous year. This is also the highest profit in the past ten quarters for the enterprise.
For the first six months of the year, DIC Corp recorded net revenue of VND 822 billion, more than double that of the same period last year. Due to a decrease in financial activity income and a significant increase in operating expenses, net profit stood at nearly VND 4 billion, a 95% decrease compared to the results of the previous year’s first half.
Revealing the Income of Bank Employees
In 2023, amidst the challenging times for many businesses with labor cuts and reduced salaries, the banking sector continues to maintain a strong income level. Among them, Techcombank stands out with the highest average income of 540 million VND per person per year. Few banks have reduced salaries and benefits for their employees.
