Substandard Goods Investigation by Police
The Police Investigation Agency of Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi, is investigating reports of “Production and Trading of Counterfeit Goods” related to OVISURA GOLD dietary supplements. The investigation was initiated based on information provided by Cong Thuong Newspaper.
Product Details: OVISURA GOLD dietary supplement, 650g box, production batch: 15012024, production date: 15/01/2024, expiration date: 15/01/2026. Manufactured by International Company ALPHABET MYERS WALMART AMERICAN, located in Dai Than village, Dan Phuong district, Hanoi.

The entire batch of OVISURA GOLD dietary supplements was produced under a contract between International Company ALPHABET MYERS WALMART AMERICAN and Minh Chung High-Tech Pharmaceutical Company (hereinafter referred to as Minh Chung Company), located in the Luong Son Industrial Cluster, Luong Son Town, Hoa Binh Province.
The Police Investigation Agency has requested a quality inspection of the OVISURA dietary supplement from the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene. The institute’s conclusion states that the product has indicators that do not meet the manufacturer’s standards.
The Bac Tu Liem District Police Investigation Agency is currently looking for buyers or users of the OVISURA GOLD dietary supplement with the above characteristics to assist in the investigation.
Previous Allegations of Trademark Infringement
At the beginning of 2024, Cong Thuong Newspaper received reports from readers about signs of intellectual property infringement by Minh Chung High-Tech Pharmaceutical Company – Hoa Binh Branch. Specifically, OBISURE GOLD PLUS, produced by this company, showed signs of infringing the rights of OVISURE GOLD, manufactured by Galién Cosmetics Joint Stock Company, located in Bui Xuong Trach Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi.

This allegation was also concluded by the Institute of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) in the Conclusion of Industrial Property Appraisal No. NH1073-23TC/KL-GD dated December 29, 2023.
On January 18, 2024, Cong Thuong Newspaper sent Document No. 33/BaoCTT-TT to the Hoa Binh Provincial Market Management Department to verify and clarify the information. Based on the inspection results of Team 1 of the Market Management Force, on March 8, 2024, the Hoa Binh Provincial Market Management Department responded to Cong Thuong Newspaper about the reader’s reflection.
According to the response, Team 1 of the Market Management Force conducted an inspection from 9:00 on February 6, 2024, to 17:00 on the same day. The inspection report stated that at the time of inspection, Minh Chung Company was not producing or trading OBISURE GOLD PLUS in Luong Son District, Da Bac District, or Ha Binh City.
The Hoa Binh Provincial Market Management Department stated, “It has not been determined that there is an infringement of the rights of the protected trademark of the product of Galién Cosmetics Joint Stock Company.”
Subsequently, the Hoa Binh Provincial Market Management Department instructed Team 1 to continue coordinating with Cong Thuong Newspaper and Galién Cosmetics Joint Stock Company to verify and clarify the situation and promptly inspect and handle any violations in accordance with the law. However, there has been no further information about this case. In fact, Cong Thuong Newspaper has not observed any signs of coordination or communication from the market management force. Even our journalists’ attempts to collaborate with the Hoa Binh market management force have been met with a lack of cooperation, and no inspection reports or information have been provided.
Cong Thuong Newspaper would like to forward this information to the Bac Tu Liem District Police Investigation Agency to coordinate with the Hoa Binh Provincial Market Management Department to further verify, clarify, and strictly handle any violations in accordance with the law.
