Over the past few days, PVFCCo has been coordinating with local authorities to organize inauguration ceremonies and hand over educational facilities that the company sponsored, in line with the allocation and master plan of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Petrovietnam).
Specifically, on August 24, 2024, a ceremony was held at My Trung Elementary School in My Loc district, Nam Dinh province, to inaugurate and hand over a multi-purpose hall and auxiliary items. The hall, entirely sponsored by PVFCCo with a total value of VND 5 billion, is a newly constructed facility spanning 458.75 square meters. It is fully equipped with functional areas to serve physical education, including a practice floor, a stage, a machine room, and a dressing room. Additionally, the project includes auxiliary items such as a main gate, a perimeter wall, and a concrete yard of over 200 square meters, built in harmony with the main structure.
Following that, on the morning of August 26, 2024, in Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province, PVFCCo inaugurated and handed over a two-story, six-room classroom building at Trung Vuong Kindergarten. The project, with a total investment of over VND 7.4 billion, including VND 4.5 billion sponsored by PVFCCo as per the allocation and master plan of Petrovietnam, comprises five classrooms and an assembly hall, each with a total area of 450 square meters. The rooms are equipped with modern facilities to provide the best teaching and learning environment for teachers and students.
Earlier, in July 2024, PVFCCo, together with Petrovietnam, PVTrans, and the People’s Committee of Nua town, jointly inaugurated and handed over a multi-purpose hall and renovated classrooms at Nua town’s secondary school and health station. PVFCCo contributed VND 3 billion to this project.
PVFCCo believes that these facilities, inaugurated at the start of the new school year and on the occasion of the National Day, with their modern infrastructure, will contribute to enhancing the quality of education in these localities.
To support disadvantaged households in Da Kao ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and make their National Day celebration more meaningful, PVFCCo visited and presented 20 gifts worth a total of VND 10 million to poor and struggling families in the area. Each gift was worth VND 500,000, including VND 200,000 worth of essential goods (such as rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, etc.) and VND 300,000 in cash.
In July and August 2024, PVFCCO also donated one ton of Phu My 17-7-17+TE fertilizer to needy families in Binh Trung commune (Chau Duc district). They inspected, repaired, and replaced faulty electrical equipment in many households and presented gifts to the ethnic Chau Ro people.
For over 20 years since its establishment, PVFCCo has consistently been a pioneer in performing social welfare activities. The company has relentlessly implemented a series of social welfare programs and activities nationwide, worth more than VND 1,200 billion. These include nearly 26,000 Great Unity Houses and houses of gratitude, nearly 300 health and education projects, rural bridges, hundreds of thousands of relief packages for natural disaster victims, Tet gifts for the poor, and scholarships for students, among others. These activities, carried out with responsibility and dedication, have contributed to PVFCCo’s unique “Sharing” culture.
