Chery has recently unveiled its new Fulwin T11, and it has once again caused a stir in the media due to its resemblance to the Range Rover. Interestingly, Chery is a joint venture partner of Jaguar Land Rover in China.
The T11 is the flagship SUV of the Fulwin line, a sub-brand of Chery dedicated to new energy vehicles. So far, all vehicles produced under this sub-brand have been PHEVs, but the upcoming E06 model promises to offer an all-electric version as well.
This leading model from Chery Fulwin has dimensions of 5,150 x 1,995 x 1,800 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, while boasting a wheelbase of 3,100 mm. Up front, the T11 utilizes a double wishbone suspension system, with a five-link suspension at the rear. This six-seater SUV employs a 2+2+2 configuration.
In terms of design, the resemblance between the new Chery Fulwin T11 2024 and the Range Rover lies in the front end. The headlights feature a through-design with two C-shaped extensions that wrap around the headlamp clusters. The grille is adorned with vertical chrome strips, giving the vehicle a robust front end down to the lower bumper, where an air intake is surrounded by more chrome.
The T11 has semi-hidden door handles instead of fully recessed ones, and its multi-spoke 20-inch wheels undoubtedly add a touch of sophistication.
At the rear, there’s a full-width taillight with a geometric wave pattern. The rear design is fairly neat, with the roof spoiler along the roofline being the only prominent feature, accompanied by a chrome strip above the full-width taillight and another one just above the rear bumper.
Based on previous announcements, we know that the front features a 30-inch integrated screen, and there’s a 17.3-inch screen for rear-seat entertainment. There’s also a hidden refrigerator onboard.
The second row of seats can be adjusted, and both the front and second rows offer heating, ventilation, and massage functions. It is believed that the leather-upholstered seats can be voice-controlled, along with other functions in the vehicle.
Additionally, the T11 is equipped with Lidar, providing a reasonable level of driving assistance, reportedly including NOP (Navigate on Pilot) and a function to remember parking locations.
In terms of performance, the T11 employs Chery’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid C-DM plug-in hybrid system, which includes a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The engine has a thermal efficiency of 44.5%, delivers a maximum power of 115 kW (154 hp), and provides 220 Nm of torque.
The vehicle can be fitted with front and rear electric motors to offer an intelligent all-wheel-drive layout. The expected all-electric range is over 200 km, with a comprehensive range of more than 1,400 km.
Charging from 30 to 80% is reported to take just 19 minutes. The T11 is said to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in around five seconds.
