Japanese Onsen-compliant Mineral Springs Flow into Each Villa

Located in eastern Saigon, 18km from Notre Dame Cathedral, the Onsen village subdivision of the Ecovillage Saigon River project (spanning 55 hectares) has introduced in-home hot springs as a new trend in the Vietnamese real estate market since its launch. Currently, this is also the last opportunity for owners who appreciate in-home hot spring therapy to acquire these villas.

Onsen villas nestled amidst lush, open nature

Nestled within a 21,000m2 green area and surrounded by 19,000m2 of internal waterways, each Onsen village villa not only offers a serene and open natural setting but also boasts high-quality hot spring water that complies with Japan’s Onsen Law, as approved by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare.

To achieve this, the developer of Onsen village, the founder of Ecopark, has joined forces with Raymond—Japan’s longest-standing hot spring expert with experience in consulting and designing over 600 hot spring complexes worldwide, as well as 5- and 6-star resorts in more than 67 countries. Raymond Group is now one of the top three hot spring design corporations globally.

Mr. Dang Bao Ngoc, Director of Raymond Vietnam, shared that the mineral spring flowing into each Onsen village villa originates from 100% natural mineral powder, with controlled mineral content and complete elimination of impurities, heavy metals, and unpleasant odors to comply with Japan’s Onsen Law.

“Regular hot spring bathing can improve bone and muscle health, kill harmful bacteria and viruses, detoxify the skin, enhance blood circulation, promote better sleep and mental clarity, boost metabolism, stimulate intestinal secretion, and support digestive health. It also aids in weight loss. Hot spring bathing is a secret to the long and healthy lives of Japanese people, contributing to their country’s highest average life expectancy worldwide,” added Mr. Ngoc on the benefits of in-home hot spring therapy.

Unlike the bustling and vibrant Onsen Clubhouse, which can accommodate 1,000 people per day, the Onsen village villas offer a peaceful, spacious, and private ambiance.

Upon entering the Onsen village villa area, residents are enveloped in a serene atmosphere. The landscape design emphasizes meditation, featuring green trees, stones, pebbles, and water as the primary elements to create harmony and balance between nature and architecture.

Twin Onsen villas

After a busy day at work, residents can return home to a special wellness retreat within their own homes, spanning from over 180m2 to more than 500m2, tailored to each family’s unique needs. This doesn’t include the spacious front and back gardens of each villa, measuring up to hundreds of square meters. These gardens provide the perfect setting for entertaining guests, relaxing, reading, meditating, or simply savoring the beauty of nature.

Single Onsen villa

The Onsen village villas come in four types: mansion-style, single, twin, and garden, all equipped with luxurious amenities and the exclusive privilege of having hot spring water directed straight to the villas.

“We deliver fully functional mineral spring baths ready for residents’ use. Additionally, we provide empty spaces for residents to design and install dry, wet, hot, and cold saunas according to their preferences. This privilege ensures maximum privacy for residents and their loved ones. Residents can enjoy personalized therapeutic benefits, adjust temperatures, and customize their bathing times and spaces for the ultimate relaxation and comfort within their own homes. Each villa has a dedicated technical room, and our operations team is available to assist with any technical queries,” shared Ms. Mai Thi Hong Quyen, representative of the founder of Ecopark.

The mansion-style Onsen villas are limited to only 4 units

Ms. Quyen also mentioned that the mansion-style villas, limited to only four units, each feature two outdoor mineral spring baths and one indoor bath. The outdoor baths can accommodate up to ten people, allowing residents to relax with friends and family without needing to use the community bathhouse at the Onsen Clubhouse. For the other villa types, including twin, single, and garden, the mineral spring baths are located outdoors amidst nature, offering a perfect experience.

“The hot spring baths will be filled with water at the desired temperature of each family, ranging from 37°C to 42°C. This temperature will be maintained until the end of the hot spring therapy session before transitioning to another treatment. The mineral content will also remain stable during the soaking experience. This differs from the traditional method of bathing in mineral-infused water, where the temperature and nutrient levels gradually decrease over time,” added Ms. Quyen.

In addition to the hot spring benefits, the Onsen village villas offer design value, with 100% of the villas featuring dual aspects: one facing the internal road and the other surrounded by a Japanese garden overlooking the river. All bedrooms in the villas are located on the same floor, fostering a sense of familial connection.

The Onsen village villas also offer locational value, bordering the 3,700m2 Resort Clubhouse and the 5,500m2 Onsen Clubhouse hot spring complex. Within a 500m radius, residents and guests of Onsen Village can easily access the marina, Six Senses Park, and other natural amenities, enjoying a multi-layered natural environment with a density of 170 trees per person.
