The Insurance Management and Supervision Bureau has requested that insurance companies coordinate with relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals to assess human and property losses for insured organizations and individuals. The companies are also urged to promptly provide advance compensation, compensation, and insurance payouts to the insured and beneficiaries.
The official letter clearly states that Typhoon Yagi has caused significant human and property losses in the northern provinces. To support organizations and individuals in recovering from the typhoon’s impact, the Insurance Management and Supervision Bureau requests insurance companies to proactively coordinate with relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals to assess the losses of insured organizations and individuals.
Additionally, insurance companies are instructed to promptly provide advance compensation, compensation, and insurance payouts to the insured and beneficiaries in a timely, adequate, and lawful manner, as per contract agreements.
Insurance companies are urged to provide immediate advance compensation and typhoon Yagi damage compensation.
Furthermore, the Insurance Association of Vietnam is requested to collaborate with insurance companies to provide humanitarian support in accordance with internal regulations and legal provisions.
The Insurance Management and Supervision Bureau also requests insurance companies to submit a report on loss assessment and insurance settlement no later than September 12, 2024.
Notably, many insurance companies have already taken proactive measures by deploying their officers and employees to areas heavily affected by Typhoon Yagi to assess human and property losses of their insured customers.
These companies are also actively coordinating with relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals to provide humanitarian support and determine losses for advance compensation and compensation to customers affected by Typhoon Yagi.
