Super Typhoon Yagi, the strongest storm in three decades, wreaked havoc on communities in its path, leaving countless families destitute and causing extensive damage to infrastructure. The subsequent flooding has also brought immense suffering to the people of northern provinces. Hundreds of thousands of households are now facing immense hardship and lacking essential supplies.

Embracing the spirit of compassion and disaster relief, Vinamilk is stepping up during this critical phase by providing over 550,000 essential nutritional products, including fresh milk, plant-based milk, condensed milk, and beverages, to those affected by the storm and floods. These supplies are being swiftly delivered to people in ten affected provinces: Hanoi, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Cao Bang, Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc, Tuyen Quang, Bac Ninh, and Ninh Binh.

On September 11, Vinamilk presented 1 billion VND worth of nutritional products to the people of Thai Nguyen and Yen Bai, the provinces bearing the brunt of the disaster, through the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee. This donation will aid those in flooded areas who lack food and drinks, with a particular focus on ensuring that children receive the milk and nutrition they need.

With solidarity and the community’s joint efforts, we believe that everyone will overcome these challenges and soon stabilize their lives.”

In addition to aiding affected individuals and children, Vinamilk will also provide a portion of the products to functional forces and local authorities engaged in rescue and relief work in the aftermath of the typhoon and floods.
