Rapid Response Team Established in Local Areas

In a show of solidarity with the people of Northern Vietnam, organizations, businesses, and individuals from across the nation have been offering practical support to communities in provinces such as Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai, helping them recover from natural disasters and rebuild their lives.

A notable development yesterday was Vingroup’s announcement of a 250 billion VND donation to support people affected by Typhoon Yagi and flash floods. This act underscores the importance of corporate social responsibility.

The funds will be used for emergency relief efforts, including rebuilding approximately 2,000 collapsed homes and providing financial assistance ranging from 150 to 300 million VND to families who have lost loved ones.

The remaining funds will be allocated to support families who have been injured or suffered significant crop and livestock losses, as well as to assist in clean-up efforts and the reconstruction of essential infrastructure for the community.

Immediately after the announcement, the Vinhomes Foundation (under Vingroup) established a rapid response team to deploy to the affected areas and coordinate support for the local people.

Families whose homes have been completely destroyed or who have lost their primary breadwinners will receive special priority in this effort.

Employees Dedicate Their Days Off to Provide Direct Assistance

In addition to the emergency financial support, Vingroup has also encouraged its employees across the group to dedicate their days off to join the Vinhomes Foundation in providing direct assistance to communities affected by natural disasters.

With over 133,000 employees across all 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam, Vingroup has a large force that can quickly mobilize and provide on-the-ground support to those in need.

Established in 2006, with all operating costs sponsored by Vingroup and its leadership, the Foundation has implemented numerous practical projects and programs for community development, prioritizing assistance to families in difficult circumstances and those with contributions to the nation’s revolutionary cause. These include: honoring Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; supporting families with special difficulties; providing scholarships to underprivileged students; promoting economic development in impoverished areas; offering relief to communities affected by natural disasters; and constructing and developing charitable healthcare, cultural, and educational facilities.
