China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has recently released specifications for the all-new Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, a compact electric vehicle.

This upgrade sees a complete redesign of the exterior, while the interior remains largely unchanged.

According to MIIT’s records, the Wuling electric mini has dimensions of 3,256 mm in length, 1,510 mm in width, and 1,578 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,190 mm. A significant improvement from the previous model’s dimensions of 2,920 mm x 1,493 mm x 1,621 mm and a wheelbase of 1,940 mm.

The Wuling Mini EV’s cockpit is expected to remain largely the same. The main difference lies in the exterior, which ditches the boxy design in favor of rounded edges, similar to the Wuling Bingo.

The MIIT filing also reveals a one-tone or two-tone exterior with various color options. Along with two rim cover options and a four-seat cockpit.

The new Wuling Hongguang Mini EV is powered by a rear-axle-mounted electric motor producing a maximum of 40 horsepower. It is equipped with an LFP battery and can reach a top speed of 100 km/h.

In China, the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV is priced between 32,800 and 99,900 CNY (approximately 113 to 345 million VND) depending on the model. According to Car News China, the all-new Wuling Hongguang Mini EV is expected to start at 32,000 CNY (around 110 million VND).
