Vietnamese footballer Quang Hải’s wife recently announced that they had successfully sold their VinFast VF3 electric car to raise funds for flood relief efforts.
The car was sold for 250 million VND, and the proceeds will be donated directly to the Vietnamese Fatherland Front’s account.
Prior to the sale, on the evening of September 10th, Chu Thanh Huyen shared in a livestream that they had planned to give away the car as a gift to a lucky customer during their September 29th livestream.
However, given the ongoing complex situation of storms and natural disasters and their devastating impact, they felt it was inappropriate to go ahead with the original plan. Instead, they decided to sell the car and donate all the proceeds to support disaster relief efforts.
Earlier that day, Quang Hải himself had transferred 250 million VND to the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front to support flood-affected people.
In addition to the recently sold VinFast VF3, the 1997-born player also owns a Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic, which he purchased in 2020. The luxury SUV has a new price of up to 2.399 billion VND.
Quang Hải and his wife are not the only ones from the V-League to contribute to flood relief efforts. Several players, including central defender Quế Ngọc Hải, Duy Mạnh, forward Hoàng Đình Tùng, midfielder Hoàng Đức, and goalkeepers Tấn Trường and Văn Lâm, have also donated tens of millions of VND to the Vietnamese Fatherland Front’s Central Committee to support those affected by the floods.
