Peugeot has expanded its 3008 and 5008 lineup with the introduction of new PHEV plug-in hybrid and all-electric options, offering improved range and performance. This significant update to the French SUV models brings enhanced competitiveness to the market.

Beginning with the plug-in hybrid, both vehicles combine a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a single 123 hp electric motor integrated into a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The result is an impressive system output of 182 hp and 350 Nm of torque.

The front-wheel-drive system, while not as versatile as the previous all-wheel-drive option, offers improved energy efficiency. The new models offer a temporary zero-emission range of 84 km for the 3008 and 82 km for the 5008.

Additionally, Peugeot has announced the “Long Range 230 Electric” version for both SUV models, featuring an increased battery capacity of 96.9 kWh, up from 73 kWh. This upgrade results in a remarkable range of 700 km for the E-3008 and 668 km for the E-5008, with a single 227 hp motor.

In the latest generation, Peugeot has discontinued standalone engine options for the 3008 and 5008. The new generations of both models are highly anticipated in Vietnam, where they are expected to replace the current gasoline-powered versions.

While Peugeot has focused on significant upgrades to the powertrains, the design and features of the SUVs remain unchanged. However, with the recent introductions of the 3008 and 5008, just a year and six months ago, respectively, there is no concern about their competitiveness in terms of aesthetics and equipment.

The new configurations of the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 will be showcased at the Paris Motor Show in October 2024. Pricing has already been announced, with the 3008 starting at 35,720 euros (approximately 980.2 million VND) and the 5008 starting at 37,700 euros (approximately 1.03 billion VND).
