On September 20, Vietnam Railways announced that group tickets will be available for purchase from October 1 to 5, 2024, prioritizing tickets for entities such as armed forces, universities, colleges, industrial parks, export processing zones, and social organizations. The registration for group tickets is open until 3:00 p.m. on September 30.
Passengers are required to bring an introduction letter from their organization and a comprehensive list of round-trip tickets, clearly stating the full name, phone number, and ID details of the passengers when buying tickets at the station.
Starting at 8:00 a.m. on October 6, tickets will be available for the general public through all sales channels of the railway industry.
To enhance the quality of service for passengers, the railway industry will not sell auxiliary seats or convertible seats on any trains during this year’s Tet holiday.
According to Vietnam Railways, the train schedule for Tet is divided into three phases: pre-Tet, Tet holiday, and post-Tet.
Tet trains will operate from January 15 to February 16, 2025 (the 16th day of the last lunar month to the 19th day of the first lunar month of the next year), including seven train pairs on the North-South route between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and 13 train pairs on sectional routes.
Specifically, the regular North-South train pairs include: SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8, SE9/SE10, SE11/SE12, and SE23/SE24.
Daily sectional train pairs include: NA1/NA2 and SE35/SE36 between Hanoi and Vinh; SE19/SE20 between Hanoi and Danang; HĐ1/HĐ2 and HĐ3/HĐ4 between Hue and Danang; SE13/SE14 and SE15/SE16 between Vinh and Ho Chi Minh City; SE21/SE22 between Danang and Ho Chi Minh City; SE25/SE26 between Quang Ngai and Ho Chi Minh City; SE29/SE30 between Quy Nhon and Ho Chi Minh City; SNT1/SNT2 and SNT11/SNT12 between Nha Trang and Ho Chi Minh City; and SPT1/SPT2 between Phan Thiet and Ho Chi Minh City.
