The construction project of a bridge for local traffic over the Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway has a total investment of over VND 45 billion and is implemented from 2023-2025. The investor of this project is the Management Board for Investment Construction of Transport and Agricultural Projects of Bac Giang province.
Accordingly, the project has a bridge length (including the parapet) of about 47m and a width of 7m (with a deck width of 6.5m). The structure of the work includes the construction of an overpass, an approach bridge with a steel girder span structure, a concrete deck and parapet, and a steel railing; the abutments and piers are constructed of reinforced concrete on a pile foundation. The approach road is connected to the expressway’s collector road with a reinforced concrete wall.
Accordingly, all vehicles will be prohibited from traveling on the main lane of the expressway in the Hanoi – Bac Giang direction from 22:00 on September 26, 2024, to 05:00 on September 27, 2024, from the exit of the expressway at Km129+300 (the position of the Belt Road 4 overpass) to Km125+00 (the entrance to the expressway). Vehicles will be directed to the collector road on the Quang Chau side (the right side of the Hanoi – Bac Giang expressway).
At the same time, all vehicles will be prohibited from traveling on the main lane of the expressway in the Bac Giang – Hanoi direction from 22:00 on September 27, 2024, to 05:00 on September 28, 2024, at Km125+900 (the exit at Dinh Tram overpass intersection) and at Km127+00 (the entrance to the expressway). Vehicles will be directed to the collector road on the Neh 2 side (the right side of the Bac Giang – Hanoi expressway) to Nhu Nguyet Bridge.
To ensure the safety of workers and employees traveling to and from the industrial parks along the Hanoi – Bac Giang expressway, such as Dinh Tram, Van Trung, and Song Khe – Noi Hoang, Bac Giang province has invested in the construction of several overpasses in recent years. The overpasses in Tang Tien and Van Trung are exclusively for motorbikes, bicycles, and pedestrians.
These bridges have had a positive impact, shortening the distance and travel time for workers between their accommodations and workplaces and vice versa. They have also effectively improved road safety and reduced the risk of accidents caused by people crossing the expressway on foot.
The construction of this bridge for local traffic over the Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway in Van Trung, Viet Yen Town, will meet the travel needs of workers and employees in the area’s industrial parks once completed. It will help prevent workers from crossing the expressway, reducing traffic congestion on roads near the industrial parks during rush hours. This bridge will provide a safer and more convenient commute for workers and employees traveling on the Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway.
