On September 25, 2024, Vingroup JSC (coded VIC) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two leading names in the global music and film industries, Warner Music Group and Indochina Productions. This collaboration will not only bring world-renowned music stars to Vietnam but also serve as a launchpad to promote Vietnamese tourism and culture to hundreds of millions of people worldwide.

The two agreements were signed during the Vietnam Tourism and Film Promotion Program organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in Hollywood, California. Accordingly, Vingroup will collaborate with Warner Music Group and Indochina Productions to promote the Group’s strategic products and introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends through films, music festivals, and music videos.

The parties will work closely to promote Vietnam as a top destination for international filmmakers and music video producers. Vingroup commits to supporting projects by Warner Music Group and Indochina Productions at locations within the Group’s ecosystem, including Vinpearl resorts and VinWonders amusement parks. Additionally, Vingroup will also provide VinFast electric car models for use in the music and film projects of the two partners.

Notably, this collaboration will create opportunities for leading global music stars under Warner Music Group’s management to participate in the 8Wonder International Music Festival and other music events organized by Vinpearl.

“Vietnam boasts breathtaking natural landscapes and has the potential to become an ideal location for film projects and music festivals. Some of our artists, such as Charlie Puth, have already performed here,” said Lisa Nguyen, CEO of Warner Music Vietnam. “With this partnership with Vingroup, Warner Music Group looks forward to more opportunities to expand our activities in Vietnam.”

Nicholas Simon, CEO of Indochina Productions, stated, “Indochina Productions has always operated according to international standards across the region. With the support of relevant government agencies and corporations that advocate for the film industry, we have helped establish Thailand and the Philippines as Hollywood film centers. These three factors also brought the film crew of ‘Kong: Skull Island’ to Vietnam. With Vingroup’s support, we believe this beautiful country will become a filming location for many more international blockbusters in the future.”

Meanwhile, Ngo Thi Huong, representing Vingroup, shared, “We are honored to collaborate with Warner Music and Indochina Productions to promote Vietnamese culture, tourism, and innovative creations. This is a great opportunity for us to introduce Vingroup’s brand and products globally, bring international artists, actors, and film crews closer to the Vietnamese audience, and open doors to more extensive and robust promotion of Vietnamese culture and beauty to the world.”

The signing of the MoU between Vingroup, Warner Music, and Indochina Productions not only demonstrates the scale of Vietnam’s leading multi-industry corporation internationally but also showcases its vision and ambition to promote Vietnamese cultural values, natural landscapes, iconic structures, and prosperity to the world. It contributes to gradually establishing Vietnam as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Asia.
