On September 24, during the IR Awards Ceremony honoring listed companies with the best IR activities in 2024 held in Ho Chi Minh City, Viettel Construction was a two-time winner in the categories of “Mid Cap with IR Activities Most Favored by Investors 2024” and “Mid Cap with IR Activities Most Appreciated by Financial Institutions 2024.”
By bagging these two prestigious awards, Viettel Construction has proven its unwavering commitment to establishing and maintaining a transparent and effective investor relations (IR) environment, gaining recognition from reputable domestic and international organizations and investors.
Since its debut on the HOSE stock exchange in 2022 under the stock code CTR, Viettel Construction has focused on strengthening connections with various investment funds to provide them with information and, in turn, leverage these global investment funds to explore new markets aligned with its expansion strategy. The accolades received at the IR Awards 2024 serve as a testament to the company’s proactive approach to investor relations activities.
In just two years, Viettel Construction’s stock has witnessed remarkable growth. The share price soared to almost the maximum allowed limit, reaching 133,300 VND per share, with nearly half a million buy orders currently in the queue. Moreover, the company will soon finalize the list of shareholders to distribute 2023 dividends in cash, with a ratio of 27.2% (equivalent to 2,720 VND per share).
The positive signals from the stock market are accompanied by outstanding business results. In the first eight months of 2024, the company recorded a revenue of 7,935 billion VND, an 11% increase compared to the same period last year. Of this, 82% of the revenue came from the domestic market, while the remaining 18% was generated from overseas markets. Pre-tax profit reached 422.7 billion VND, a 4% year-over-year increase.
“Viettel Construction always ensures transparency, publicity, professionalism, and efficiency in its IR activities while adhering to legal regulations,” said a company representative. “These achievements and awards will motivate us to continue maintaining and improving our IR governance to meet international standards.”
Viettel Construction’s impressive revenue growth and transparency in IR activities have earned the trust and favor of investors.
Viettel Construction recognizes the crucial role of IR activities in its development and considers it an essential part of its overall strategy. Accurate, timely, and consistent information dissemination builds trust with investors and facilitates the company’s sustainable growth.
Over the years, Viettel Construction has demonstrated its leadership in the industry through its growth rate and strengthened connections with foreign investment funds, ensuring increased benefits for shareholders, both financially and non-financially. Looking ahead to 2025, the company has set ambitious targets, aiming for a 21% annual revenue growth rate, surpassing the planned 14%; a 24% annual profit increase, exceeding the 15% target; and expanding its operations and maintenance business internationally. Moving forward, Viettel Construction will focus on five key tasks: formulating a plan to increase charter capital; increasing the revenue contribution from non-Viettel sources to 40%; signing and executing 1-2 Go Global contracts; synchronizing infrastructure and leasing 4,000 new BTS stations to maintain its top market share position in Vietnam; and implementing international standard organizational operations. Notably, the shutdown of 2G networks and the rollout of 5G technology will significantly enhance the value of Viettel Construction’s infrastructure assets.
The IR Awards, organized annually since 2011 by Vietstock in collaboration with the VAFE Association and FiLi Magazine, recognizes listed companies with outstanding IR practices. The awards honor companies that excel in information disclosure, strategic governance, and financial communications, ultimately contributing to enhancing stock value commensurate with the company’s worth.
Viettel Construction stood out among 708 listed companies on the HOSE and HNX stock exchanges, with 424 enterprises meeting the timely and comprehensive information disclosure requirements. The company was selected by the community of investors and 36 financial institutions based on stringent criteria, including effective financial communications, a solid reputation in the capital market, and adept management of market expectations. These prestigious awards will empower Viettel Construction to confidently execute long-term strategic moves and forge a robust path forward.
