With its long-term vision and strategic investments, THACO AGRI is on a mission to “Elevate Vietnamese Agriculture.”

The Agriculture Industrialization Strategy

THACO AGRI, a member of the THACO Group established in 2019, adopts a large-scale, integrated, and circular approach to organic agricultural production. Within five years of operation, THACO AGRI has successfully established large-scale Agricultural Complexes, specializing in the monoculture of bananas and pineapples, as well as the cultivation of other tropical fruits (mangoes, pomelos, and durians) combined with cattle farming. This includes breeding, calf rearing, and the production of beef and veal, along with pig breeding and meat production integrated with forestry. THACO AGRI also ventures into the farming of other species, such as goats, fish, and birds, while producing agricultural machinery and equipment, processing fruits, manufacturing banana fibers, and producing organic fertilizers across over 84,000 hectares of land in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Recognizing the meticulous planning and scientific approach required in agricultural investments, THACO AGRI prioritizes the research and development of advanced techniques, mechanization, biotechnology, and digitalization to enhance its production and business efficiency. The company continuously invests in breeding centers, applies cutting-edge agricultural machinery and technology, and develops industrial clusters within the Agricultural Complexes. Additionally, THACO AGRI has operationalized factories to support industrial production in agriculture.

Investment and Business Expansion

In 2024, THACO AGRI plans to invest 5.4 trillion VND in construction, new plantations, and livestock farming to foster sustainable agricultural development. This includes planting 5,200 new hectares of bananas, increasing the total banana production area to 6,600 hectares, and cultivating 60 new hectares of pineapples. The Group aims to reach a total cattle herd of 114,000 by the end of 2024, with an estimated sales volume of 9,200 cattle. The total area dedicated to fruit production combined with cattle farming is 6,000 hectares, yielding an estimated export volume of 61,000 tons of fruit (60,000 tons of bananas and 1,000 tons of other tropical fruits).
