Under the chairmanship of Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, the meeting considered and approved the proposals of the Hanoi People’s Committee expected to be submitted to the Hanoi People’s Council for decision in December. These contents include: Task of construction planning subdivision, scale of 1/2000 for Bac Thuong Tin Industrial Park (Thuong Tin district);

Task of construction subdivision planning, scale of 1/2000 for Phung Hiep Industrial Park (Thuong Tin district); Task of construction planning subdivision, scale of 1/2000 for Soc Son Clean Industrial Park (Soc Son district).

Following this, the leaders of the Hanoi People’s Committee listened to the report on the contents of the proposal “Smart Transportation in Hanoi” and considered and provided feedback for concrete implementation in the near future.

According to the proposal drafted by the Hanoi Department of Transport, the proposal “Smart Transportation in Hanoi” includes a range of modern technological solutions and applications aimed at enhancing the efficiency of traffic management and operation, reducing congestion, and improving safety for road users.

Several key components of the proposal have had implementation plans developed, including: Establishing a traffic monitoring system utilizing cameras; Implementing smart traffic light systems; Utilizing mobile applications for smart transportation; Deploying an automatic toll collection system; Developing a centralized urban traffic management and operation system; Providing solutions for public transportation; Conducting training and raising awareness among citizens, and more.

Regarding the implementation of the automatic toll collection system, the proposal entails installing non-stop toll collection systems on main roads and at toll stations, reducing congestion and enhancing transparency in traffic fee collection. It also involves upgrading existing automatic toll collection systems to integrate with monthly and annual tickets for public transportation.

In terms of constructing a traffic monitoring system using cameras, the proposal entails installing traffic surveillance cameras at intersections, major roads, and traffic hotspots. These cameras will not only record traffic conditions but also aid in detecting and addressing violations such as running red lights, speeding, and driving in the wrong lane.
