15th National Assembly’s 8th Session

On the second day, October 28, the National Assembly spent almost a full day discussing the report of the National Assembly’s supervisory delegation on the implementation of policies and laws on managing the real estate market and developing social housing from 2015 to the end of 2023. The National Assembly broadcast this working session live on television and radio for voters and people nationwide to follow.
This week, the National Assembly also listened to the Government’s presentation and discussed the following: the draft Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Officers of the People’s Army of Vietnam; the Public Investment Law (amended); the draft Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Laws on Securities, Accounting, Independent Audit, State Budget, Management and Use of Public Assets, Tax Administration, and National Reserve.
The National Assembly also listened to the Government’s presentation and discussed the following: the draft Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Laws on Planning, Investment, Investment in the Form of Public-Private Partnership, and Bidding; the draft Resolution on piloting the handling of exhibits and assets in the process of investigating, prosecuting, and judging a number of cases and criminal cases; the draft Resolution on organizing urban administration in Hai Phong City; and the proposal on the establishment of Hue City under the Central Government.
The National Assembly will also discuss the draft Law on Value Added Tax (amended); the draft Law on People’s Air Defense; the draft Law on Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Law on Health Insurance; and some contents with different opinions of the draft Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue.
Notably, this week, the National Assembly also listened to the presentation and discussed the policy of investing in the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the period of 2025-2035.

The total resources mobilized for the Cultural Development Program for the period of 2025-2030 are expected to amount to VND 122,250 billion. For the period of 2031-2035, the expected total mobilized resources for the Program are VND 134,000 billion. This was announced by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung before the National Assembly during a session on November 1st.
