The total reserve of essential goods under the price stabilization program exceeds 12,000 tons, an increase of 30-50% compared to a typical month of business. Saigon Co.op allocates the majority of these stabilized goods, including rice, sugar, cooking oil, pork, poultry, eggs, processed foods, vegetables, seafood, and more. In addition to the price stabilization program, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra offer continuous Tet promotions over 59 days, with discounts on 3,500 Tet products to help consumers save on their holiday spending.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thang, Deputy General Director of Saigon Co.op, shared that the company expects a 5% increase in sales during the Tet holiday compared to the previous year. In 2024, Saigon Co.op opened several new sales points catering to different market segments, including Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food, Co.op Smile, and Finelife. With 800 existing sales points nationwide and a continuously expanding presence in retail, Saigon Co.op is well-positioned to place large orders with strategic partners and guarantee stable prices for all product categories during Tet.

For Tet At Ty 2025, Saigon Co.op presents the theme “Den Tet Cho Co.op Ve,” featuring a series of unique activities that showcase the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam. From December 1, 2024, to January 28, 2025 (59 days), 800 Saigon Co.op sales points, including Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food, Co.op Smile, Finelife, Cheers, Sense City, and SenseMarket, will offer customers a traditional Tet experience with a 3-region Tet market, OCOP stalls from various provinces, and regional specialties. This Tet also marks the first time that Co.opmart and Co.opXtra introduce products that harmoniously blend tradition and modernity, crafted by artisans before reaching the shelves: gift baskets of garlic and shallots, pre-cooked “tam sen” sets, and ancestral worship trays featuring garlic towers and five-grain sets.

The group of goods with the highest increase in reserve by Co.opmart and Co.opXtra is imported fruits (apples, oranges, pears, kiwis, and grapes), followed by traditional Tet fruits such as dragon-headed melons, papayas, coconuts, and mangoes. Next are essential goods like native chickens (cross-winged, four-lucky, and whole native chickens), beef and pork (pork hocks, ground pork, beef cutlets, and frozen beef), eggs, traditional sticky rice cakes (“banh chung” and “banh tet”), and pickled vegetables.

Tet At Ty also marks the first year that Saigon Co.op aggressively taps into the online market through short videos on Facebook and Tiktok. Personalized video content helps connect with target customers and enhances the integrated shopping experience. Saigon Co.op’s online shopping website (www.cooponline.vn) is the only platform in the market offering free nationwide delivery of Tet gift baskets, aptly named “Gắn kết tình thân – Tết xa thêm gần.” Customers can either visit the website or go to any Co.opmart or Co.opXtra store to select and order their gift baskets, which will then be delivered for free across 43 provinces and cities where Co.opmart operates.

The program “Den Co.op Cho Tet Ve” officially kicks off with the first activity, “Rộn ràng giáng sinh.” From December 1 to 18, 2024, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra will bring the festive spirit of Christmas with thousands of seasonal products on offer at up to 50% discounts. Christmas trees, ornaments, reindeer, and Santa Claus figures will be available from just 28,000 VND. Trendy Christmas apparel, including hats, cloaks, scarves, and t-shirts, will be discounted by up to 50%. Delicious ready-to-eat foods for the Christmas feast, such as chicken wings, skewers, marinated garlic thighs, fried chicken legs, Australian and American pork belly, and more, will be reduced by 15% and above. Additionally, there will be a “Tích lũy mua sắm quà khủng cuối năm” program where members who accumulate a 4,000,000 VND receipt will receive a free crate of Coca-Cola. The “Bí kíp sắm Giáng sinh” program will offer a 5% refund on the total bill for members who purchase products from the “Christmas Shopping Tips” page totaling 400,000 VND or more. Furthermore, the “Mua sắm Hamper – Quà tặng bất ngờ” program will provide members who shop for Tet gift baskets (Hamper) with a bill of 1,400,000 VND or more a chance to open a surprise gift box.
