On November 29, the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province sent a document to the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Police, and relevant units to urge the appraisal of the dossier for approving the investment policy of new urban area projects. The document emphasized that this is an important task that needs to be focused on and urgently implemented.

The projects mentioned by the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh province include the new urban area in the Northwest (Zone 1) proposed by Vingroup and two projects of new urban, tourism, ecological, cultural, resort, entertainment areas in Tien Du district and Tu Son city proposed by Sun Group.

The document states that some agencies and units are slow to send their appraisal opinions on the dossiers for approving the investment policy of the above-mentioned projects. These projects are part of the plan to attract investment and develop the city towards the goal of becoming a centrally-governed city by 2027.

The project for constructing the new urban area in the Northwest (Zone 1) proposed by Vingroup – Joint Stock Company has not received feedback from the following units: The Departments of Construction and Agriculture and Rural Development; Hoa Long Ward; and the Ministries of National Defense and Public Security.

The project has an expected total capital of more than VND 44,500 billion, with a duration of 50 years and a implementation period of 10 years.

The project for constructing a new urban, tourism, ecological, cultural, resort, and entertainment area in Tien Du district (Sub-zone 112.1) proposed by Sun Group Joint Stock Company has not received feedback from the following ten units: The Departments of Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Education and Training, and Transport; the People’s Committees of Tien Du district, Noi Due commune, and Lim town; and the Ministries of National Defense and Public Security.

This project has a scale of about 296 hectares and an expected total investment capital of about VND 17,180 billion.

The project for constructing a new urban, tourism, ecological, cultural, resort, and entertainment area in Tam Son and Tuong Giang wards, Tu Son city (Sub-zone 112.3) proposed by Sun Group Joint Stock Company has not received feedback from the following eight units: The Departments of Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development, and Transport; the People’s Committee of Tu Son city; the People’s Committee of Tam Son ward; and the Ministries of National Defense and Public Security.

The project has a scale of nearly 192 hectares and an expected total investment capital of about VND 11,091 billion.
