According to the consolidated report on labor and salary in Thanh Hoa province by the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, local enterprises have planned to offer bonuses to their employees during the upcoming Solar New Year 2025 and Lunar New Year 2025 (the Year of the Snake).
Specifically, 1,232 enterprises of four different types, employing over 220,000 workers, were surveyed regarding their salary situation this year and the Tet bonus for their employees.
The average bonus for the Lunar New Year 2025 at 83 foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) with a workforce of more than 160,000 people is VND 4.9 million per person, with the highest being VND 410 million and the lowest VND 70,000.
As for the Solar New Year 2025, the expected bonus at 75 FDI enterprises with a workforce of over 140,000 people is VND 140,000 on average, with the highest being VND 146.6 million and the lowest VND 50,000.
The reported data also shows that the average actual salary paid this year at limited liability companies with 100% state-owned capital is VND 7.9 million per month, with the highest being VND 65 million and the lowest VND 3.9 million. The average actual salary at foreign-invested enterprises is VND 7.5 million per month, with the highest being VND 410 million and the lowest VND 3.45 million.
In addition, the bonus amounts for the Lunar New Year and Solar New Year were also analyzed in detail. The expected bonus for the Solar New Year 2025 at eight enterprises belonging to limited liability companies with 100% state-owned capital, employing 4,610 workers, is VND 1.9 million per person on average, with the highest being VND 12 million and the lowest VND 200,000.
The expected bonus for the Lunar New Year 2025 in this block of enterprises is VND 10.1 million per person on average, with the highest being VND 47 million and the lowest VND 250,000. The expected bonus for the Solar New Year 2025 at 746 private enterprises with a workforce of over 36,000 people is VND 500,000 per person on average, with the highest being over VND 137 million and the lowest VND 50,000.
According to the functional agencies in Thanh Hoa, the local labor market in the last months of this year continues to show positive recovery signs, with a bright outlook, creating more job opportunities for workers. Many enterprises are increasing welfare benefits and offering attractive bonus schemes for new employees.
The labor structure is shifting towards a positive direction. While there is a slight decrease in the number of workers in the two sectors of agriculture-forestry-fishery and services, the proportion of workers in the industry-construction sector has increased quite significantly, estimated at 43.1%, a 0.6% increase compared to the same period last year. This contributes to promoting sustainable economic growth in Thanh Hoa.
