The Ministry of Transport has just issued Decision No. 1549/QD-BGTVT to announce the opening of Dong Pho Moi Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Lao Cai Province.

Strategically located in Lots F9, F10, and a portion of Lot F11 in Dong Pho Moi Industrial Park, Pho Moi Ward, Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province, the Dong Pho Moi ICD spans an area of 50,000 square meters. The project is invested by VIMC Logistics Joint Stock Company.

The opening of Dong Pho Moi ICD aims to facilitate the operation of import-export procedures and the provision of related services in accordance with Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP dated April 4, 2017, of the Government, as well as the company’s investment certificate and business registration certificate granted by competent authorities.

As per the decision, VIMC Logistics Joint Stock Company, as the investor, is responsible for fulfilling the obligations and exercising the rights of an ICD enterprise as stipulated in Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP and relevant legal documents. The company is also tasked with organizing the operation of the ICD upon completion of the necessary procedures and in line with the investment stages, ensuring safety, security, and environmental protection.

The investor is responsible for operating and maintaining the works and items as per the approved plan and current regulations. Any renovation, expansion, or change in the nature of the works must be reported to the competent authority as prescribed.

The Ministry of Transport has assigned the Vietnam Maritime Administration to inspect and supervise the operation of the ICD in accordance with Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP and relevant legal documents.
