The project boundary has its western and northwestern sides bordering Vinh Phuc province, while its northeastern side runs parallel to the Tan Dan – Minh Tri – Xuan Hoa commune road, approximately 250m away. The eastern and southeastern sides are marked by the 22KV power line and a military-managed area. The southern side borders the Hanoi – Lao Cai road, the Ninh Kieu village cemetery, and the Thanh Am pagoda.

Soc Son Clean Industrial Park Perspective

The planning objectives are to concretize the orientation for the development of industrial parks in Vietnam, in line with the master plan for Hanoi’s construction by 2030, with a vision towards 2050, and the adjustments to the master plan towards 2045 and a vision for 2065. It is also part of the Hanoi People’s Committee’s project to establish 2-5 new industrial parks during the 2021-2025 period.

The project inherits and adjusts the detailed planning of the Clean Industrial Park (at a ratio of 1/2000), approved in 2013, to meet current regulations on industrial park development.

Soc Son Clean Industrial Park will be built with modern and synchronous infrastructure to meet the production and business requirements of investors, providing favorable conditions for domestic and foreign enterprises to invest in clean industries such as electronics, information technology, mechanics, automobile manufacturing, new materials industry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and textiles.

The projected number of workers for the project is around 18,000. The time frame for the sub-planning should not exceed 9 months from the approval of the planning mission.

Accommodations and service facilities for workers are arranged within the commercial and service land in the industrial park as per regulations.

Earlier, in November, the Hanoi City People’s Council approved the planning tasks for three industrial parks with a total area of about 635 hectares, including the Soc Son Clean Industrial Park. The other two industrial parks are the Bac Thuong Tin Industrial Park in Thuong Tin district, with a planned area of about 137 hectares, and the Phung Hiep Industrial Park, also in Thuong Tin district, with a planned area of approximately 174.8 hectares.

These two industrial parks focus on bio-industries serving agriculture (high-tech agriculture), high-quality agricultural product processing, and food production linked to material regions; mechanical manufacturing, electronics; and the development of supporting industries. The projected number of workers for these parks is around 7,000-8,000.
