Apple’s latest wireless earbuds, the AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 ANC, were released in September 2024 with design and feature improvements over their predecessors. Both are equipped with the H2 chip, enhancing audio processing and connectivity. The earbuds now feature a shorter stem and a more compact charging case with a USB-C port for added convenience and a modern look.

One standout feature of the AirPods 4 is Adaptive Audio, which customizes sound based on the user’s environment. Combined with Spatial Audio, it delivers an immersive 3D audio experience, enhancing music and movie enjoyment. The AirPods 4 ANC takes it a step further with active noise cancellation (ANC) and Transparency mode, offering flexibility for various surroundings.

Both models boast significant battery life improvements. The AirPods 4 offers up to 7 hours of continuous usage and up to 36 hours with the charging case, while the AirPods 4 ANC provides 6 hours of usage and a total of 30 hours with the case.

Pricing and Year-End Promotions
Initially, the AirPods 4 was priced at VND 3.49 million, and the AirPods 4 ANC was VND 4.79 million. However, during year-end promotions, deep discounts are available on e-commerce platforms, especially Shopee, bringing the prices down to VND 2.8 million and VND 3.6 million, respectively.
To take advantage of these deals, shoppers need to make their purchases on Shopee’s big sale days, such as the upcoming 20th or 25th. By applying Shopee’s discount codes, which offer 12% to 15% off, and utilizing bank payment promotions, such as VND 350,000 off for orders over VND 3.5 million or VND 250,000 off for orders between VND 2 and 2.5 million, depending on the issuing bank, shoppers can enjoy significant savings.

These are the lowest prices ever for the AirPods 4 since its launch in Vietnam in September last year, making it the most attractive and affordable option for Vietnamese consumers. With its reasonable price and upgraded features, the AirPods 4 is expected to cater to a wide range of users, especially with the ANC version offering noise cancellation for various usage scenarios.
According to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker (Q1 2024), Apple remains the leader in the global wearable device market, with AirPods contributing significantly to its sales. In Q1 2024, Apple shipped 20.6 million units, capturing an 18.2% global market share. Despite an 18.8% year-over-year decline due to economic pressures and a lack of significant upgrades, AirPods remain the world’s most popular wireless earbuds.

These figures highlight the strong appeal of AirPods in the premium segment, despite competition from brands like Xiaomi and Huawei. IDC attributes the success of AirPods to its seamless integration with Apple’s ecosystem, including iPhone and Apple Watch, giving it a competitive edge.
