GELEX Electric Joint Stock Power Company (GELEX Electric, stock code: GEE) has just approved the plan to pay the first interim dividend for 2025 in cash at a rate of 30% of par value, equivalent to VND 3,000 per share.
Accordingly, the record date for shareholders entitled to receive dividends is August 21, 2025. The expected payment date is September 10, 2025.
With 366 million circulating shares, the company will spend more than VND 1,000 billion to pay dividends to shareholders.
Currently, the largest shareholder of Gelex Power is Gelex Group Joint Stock Company (code GEX), holding 292.8 million shares, equivalent to nearly 80% of capital. As such, GELEX Group will receive nearly VND 900 billion in this dividend payment.
GELEX Electric is among the companies that have paid the highest dividends on the stock exchange in recent times, with an amount of over VND 1,000 billion each time.
There were 2 companies that paid dividends of over VND 10,000 billion in 2024: Vietnam National Gas Corporation (PV Gas, stock code: GAS) and Masan Consumer Holdings (Masan Consumer, stock code: MCH).
The group of companies paying dividends from VND 5,000 billion to VND 10,000 billion includes VEF, VEA, and VNM. The group paying dividends from VND 2,000 billion to VND 5,000 billion includes VPB, HDB, MBB, SAB, BSR, and SHB. The remaining group, paying dividends of over VND 1,000 billion, includes PLX, VIB, SSI, FPT, MWG, FOX, GVR, DGC, TPB, GEE, DCM, and BCM.
In 2025, GELEX Electric sets a target of consolidated net revenue of VND 22,282 billion and consolidated pre-tax profit of VND 1,686 billion, up 5.5% and 21.6%, respectively, from the previous year.
In the second quarter of 2025, GELEX Electric recorded a consolidated net revenue of over VND 6,500 billion, up 23% over the same period last year, and after-tax profit of VND 566 billion, up 6%. In the first six months of the year, net revenue reached nearly VND 11,800 billion and after-tax profit was VND 1,053 billion, up 31% and 62%, respectively, compared to the same period in 2024, setting a new half-year record in business results.

With these results, the company has achieved nearly 53% of the full-year net revenue target and 78.8% of the pre-tax profit target according to the plan approved at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held in late March 2025.
Therefore, the management of GELEX Electric plans to propose a new business plan for 2025 to the shareholders, with a net revenue target of VND 23,794 billion, up 7% from the previous plan, and a pre-tax profit target of over VND 3,500 billion, doubling the previous plan.
At the same time, the company also proposes to double the dividend payout ratio from 30% to 60%, including a 40% cash dividend and a 20% stock dividend.
The 2025 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders is expected to be held online on the morning of August 15, 2025.
