Prime Minister recognizes EVN’s efforts in national development
The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of the officials, workers, and employees, who have overcome challenges and difficulties, “facing storms and fires,” and always striving to fulfill their tasks.
Commending EVN’s social security work, with VND 1,262 billion allocated for social welfare, the Prime Minister also pointed out the limitations that the electricity sector needs to overcome, including the lack of a competitive electricity market; insufficient speed and boldness in accelerating the development of power sources and transmission; and the need for a competitive, harmonious, and reasonable electricity pricing mechanism, with adjustments made in a roadmap to avoid price shocks.
Agreeing with the goals set by the Congress for the future, the Prime Minister instructed the electricity sector and EVN to focus on the unchanged goal of meeting the country’s power demands, with a two-digit growth rate in the coming time, specifically providing sufficient electricity for production, business, consumption, and people’s lives.
Additionally, the Prime Minister expressed his aspiration for EVN to become the third-largest power corporation in the region and strive for even higher rankings, overcoming all the limitations and weaknesses that have been identified.
