Dong Nai province has an area of over 12,700 km2 (ranked 9th in the country). Its population is over 4.49 million (5th in the country), and its economic scale is over VND 609 trillion (4th in the country).
To propel Dong Nai’s development on par with centrally-governed cities and contribute to the growth of the country and the Southeast region, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Ha proposed that the Government consider and submit to the National Assembly for approval of a resolution on special mechanisms similar to those of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Da Nang, and Hai Phong.
The provincial leaders also requested support for two key regional transportation infrastructure projects: the Cat Lai Bridge (worth VND 9,365 billion) and the road connecting Ma Da Bridge to Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 4 (VND 11,300 billion). Additionally, they proposed the supplementation of the Dong Xoai-Ring Road 4 route through Provincial Road 753, with a total capital of over VND 23,836 billion, of which they requested support for approximately VND 17,700 billion.
The province also petitioned for central support of VND 1,365 billion for the comprehensive repair of National Highways 1, 20, 51, and 56, which are in critical condition, especially National Highway 51…
Regarding social housing, the leaders urged the Ministry of Construction to promptly issue detailed planning guidelines at a scale of 1/500 for commercial housing projects with social housing obligations in the form of land contribution. They also sought clarification on the 20% land fund deduction from the auction winning price and solutions to income verification challenges for home buyers.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Tan Duc affirmed the province’s commitment to achieving double-digit growth in 2025 as a foundation for subsequent years and contributing to the country’s overall mission. Regarding social housing, Dong Nai promises to exceed the government’s mandate. He also urged the government to swiftly address challenges facing real estate projects in the province.
