Starting from August 13th, Dong Nai Industrial and Civil Construction Joint Stock Company began dismantling the Complex of Commercial Services and Luxury Apartments (located on Dong Khoi Street, Tan Mai Ward, Dong Nai Province) worth hundreds of billions of VND due to illegal construction.
Illegally constructed complex being forced to dismantle
The project of the Complex of Commercial Services and Luxury Apartments is located on a land area of 22,184 m2 right on the frontage of Dong Khoi Street, invested by Dong Nai Industrial and Civil Construction Joint Stock Company. The total investment capital of the project is about 679 billion VND.
Area C has a floor area of more than 4,300 m2 is being dismantled
This is public land, leased by the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province to Dong Nai Industrial Civil Construction Joint Stock Company. In 2002, the company was granted a land use right certificate for the purpose of office and production workshop.
In 2019, the functional forces of Dong Nai province discovered that this project was constructed without a permit, so they requested a cessation and then urged the investor to voluntarily dismantle and relocate assets to minimize losses.
Investor mobilizes machinery for dismantling the work
Through inspection, the authorities of Dong Nai province determined that the complex was divided into 3 construction areas by the investor. Area B is a completed and exploited event organization and conference center; Area A is an event organization and conference center with a scale of four floors and one basement, with a construction area of about 3,500 m2. The work has been completed and put into use since 2017. At the time of inspection, the authorities discovered that this area did not have a construction permit.

Area B is designed as a commercial service center, expected to be built with five floors and one basement. The investor has constructed one basement and the first floor with a construction area of more than 4,300 m2.
After many years of inspection and supervision, the authorities forced the investor to dismantle the violating structure. This complex used to be the venue for the largest events and weddings in Bien Hoa city.
