The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by representatives from local departments, investors, contractors, and partners across the country.

The Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park successfully delivered an impressive event. Notably, the moment of connection and live broadcast of the program by Vietnam Television allowed attendees to listen to the Prime Minister’s speech, merging with the atmosphere of the chain of inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

This event not only marks a significant milestone for Amber Industrial Parks, the industrial real estate developer, but it is also one of the activities within the chain of inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of projects commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).

Also, within the framework of the groundbreaking ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, representing Amber Industrial Parks, and the representative of the Management Board of Quang Tri Economic Zone, handed over the Memorandum of Cooperation to three investors who will implement projects in Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park, including Dai Cat Quang Tri One-Member Co., Ltd., KAS E&C Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), and Truong An Hai Phong Joint Stock Company. This testifies to the businesses’ trust in the industrial park, particularly in the Amber Industrial Parks brand.

Strategic location with the advantage of the “water-air-road” triangle

The Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park is planned over an area of 214.77 hectares with a total investment of VND 1,250 billion. It is one of the large-scale projects in Quang Tri Province, oriented to receive diverse industries, contributing to realizing the orientation of developing industry – logistics – manufacturing according to the provincial planning towards 2030.

The industrial park boasts an exceptionally favorable location, directly connecting to two national highways, QL 1A and QL 9D, and adjacent to the North-South railway, forming a road and rail transport network linking the entire region. To the southeast, the project is just 60km from My Thuy deep-water seaport, facilitating swift cargo transportation to export markets in the Asia-Pacific region.

In the future, the Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park will be within the direct catchment area of Quang Tri Airport – a strategic project currently being strongly promoted, expected to become a new air transport hub in the region, completing the “water-air-road” triangle that the project is poised to benefit from.

In addition to the prominent advantage of multi-modal logistics potential, the industrial park also invests in synchronous and modern infrastructure, enabling businesses to quickly deploy operations and optimize costs. This includes an internal traffic system with a main axis of 30-45m width and branch axes of 13-19.5m width, a wastewater treatment area with a separate hazardous waste warehouse, a drainage system, standard electricity and clean water supply, and other technical support services.

Developing in tandem with a new Quang Tri

The groundbreaking of the Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park takes place at a historically significant time, as Quang Tri and Quang Binh officially merge administratively, expanding the development space and repositioning their role on the Central Region’s economic map.

With the orientation of becoming a comprehensive economic center in North Central Vietnam and the Central Coast, Quang Tri is focusing on promoting public investment, developing infrastructure for border gates, seaports, airports, and expressways, and accelerating the in-depth transformation of the economic structure. Projects such as My Thuy Seaport, the international intermodal railway, Quang Tri Airport, and the North-South Expressway are providing a strong boost to industrial development.

In addition to convenient transportation, the province also boasts abundant natural resources such as large wood plantations, minerals, wind energy, hydropower, and a plentiful labor force with competitive costs, suitable for developing deep processing, export, and domestic consumption industries.

According to statistics from the state management agency, Quang Tri’s economic growth in the first six months of 2025 is estimated at approximately VND 28,560 billion, up 7.48% compared to the same period in 2024. In terms of foreign investment attraction, the province has 28 effective FDI projects with a total investment of USD 2,789.032 million. These positive figures further reinforce businesses’ confidence in the investment prospects in Quang Tri.

Sharing at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga (representing Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park) affirmed: “The Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park is not just an economic investment project, but also a long-term commitment to Quang Tri Province. We believe that the sustainable development of the industrial park will go hand in hand with the province’s strategic orientation, contributing to job creation, attracting capital, and spreading value to the local community.”

Opportunities for pioneering enterprises

With Vietnam encouraging the development of the private economy, many domestic enterprises are proactively seeking new locations with flexible land funds, synchronous infrastructure, and reasonable investment costs. The Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park in Quang Tri is one of the attractive destinations in Central Vietnam today.

In addition to attracting domestic enterprises, the industrial park has also received growing interest from foreign investors. Many FDI enterprises from South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Europe have started accessing information through local investment promotion activities and plan to survey the investment location in 2025.

As the global supply chain undergoes changes, optimizing operations and accessing both the domestic market and export markets has become a top priority. With its strategic location, competitive costs, and sustainable development orientation, the Tay Bac Ho Xa Industrial Park, in tandem with Quang Tri Province, is unlocking the potential to become the new manufacturing and export hub of North Central Vietnam.
