A rest stop is located at Km594+400, accessible from both sides of the road. The rest stop investor was selected in March 2025. The Ministry of Construction is currently directing Project Management Unit 6 to expedite the completion of auxiliary items such as the collection-distribution road system, ITS, and related works to ensure the synchronous operation of the expressway.
The Vung Ang-Bung project starts at Km658+200 (Ky Hoa commune, Ha Tinh province) and ends at Km624+228.79 (Bo Trach district, Quang Tri province), with a total length of approximately 55.34 km. The route features two interconnecting interchanges, Tien Chau-Van Hoa and National Highway 12A, providing convenient connections to major transport arteries in the region.
The project is invested in phases with a scale of four lanes, a designed speed of 80 km/h, and a total investment of VND 12,548 billion from the state budget.
The opening of the Vung Ang-Bung Expressway will not only reduce travel time between Ha Tinh and Quang Tri provinces but also boost trade and promote socio-economic development in the North-Central region of Vietnam.
