The HoSE-listed Nam Kim Steel Joint Stock Company (Stock code: NKG) has recently disclosed information regarding Administrative Decision No. 2806/QD-CT from the Tax Authority, imposing an administrative fine for tax law violations.
Consequently, Nam Kim Steel was fined over VND 190 million for errors in tax declaration, resulting in underpayment of taxes due. The company is also required to rectify the situation by paying over VND 313.9 million in unpaid taxes and nearly VND 178.6 million in late payment fees to the state budget.

The late payment fees mentioned above were calculated up to July 31, 2025. Nam Kim Steel is responsible for calculating and paying any additional fees incurred after this date until the actual payment of the tax arrears and penalties into the state budget as stipulated.
In total, Nam Kim Steel needs to pay nearly VND 682.6 million in tax arrears, penalties, and late payment fees. Regarding business performance, according to the reviewed consolidated financial statements for the first six months of 2025, Nam Kim Steel recorded a total revenue of over VND 7,898.6 billion, a 27.9% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. Gross profit reached VND 533.3 billion, reflecting a 50.6% decline.
After deducting various taxes and fees, the company reported a net profit of nearly VND 157 billion, a 57.5% decrease compared to the previous year.
As of June 30, 2025, NKG’s total assets increased by 22% from the beginning of the year to over VND 16,494 billion. Inventories accounted for VND 6,141.8 billion, or 37.2% of total assets, while long-term assets under construction stood at nearly VND 3,010.3 billion, a tenfold increase from the beginning of the year and representing 18.3% of total assets.
On the liabilities side, total payables amounted to nearly VND 8,913.5 billion, a 16.6% increase from the beginning of the year. Short-term and long-term borrowings accounted for VND 6,856.8 billion, or 76.9% of total debt.
