To best serve the travel needs of citizens and visitors during the 80th National Day celebration on September 2nd, Hanoi will offer free tickets for subsidized buses and urban rail routes from August 30th to September 2nd.

This applies to 128 subsidized bus routes across the city and 2 urban rail routes: the 2A Cat Linh – Ha Dong line and the 3.1 Nhon – Cau Giay line.

Passengers with single tickets will be provided with tickets at no charge, while those with monthly, preferential, or free tickets only need to present them when using the services.

The Hanoi People’s Committee has assigned the Department of Construction to coordinate with the Hanoi Transport Operation and Management Center, subsidized bus service providers, and the Hanoi Railway One-Member Limited Company to ensure the safe, meaningful, and effective implementation of this initiative, thus meeting the travel needs of citizens and visitors.

This practical activity demonstrates the government’s care and encouragement for the use of public transportation, contributing to reducing traffic congestion and promoting the image of a civilized, modern, and environmentally friendly capital.

On August 21st, to facilitate citizens’ participation in the rehearsal for the National Day parade and procession, Hanoi Metro extended its operating hours until midnight, transporting over 140,000 passengers.
