Sun Group Launches Major Urban Development in Vung Tau

Sun Group has commenced construction on a large-scale, mixed-use urban project in wards 10 and 11 of Vung Tau city, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. Named after the address, the “February 3rd Urban Area” is one of the largest and most anticipated developments in the region.

Spanning approximately 96 hectares, the project boasts a total investment of nearly VND 37,000 billion. As outlined by Sun Group, the urban area will feature a diverse range of functions, including high-rise apartments, low-rise villas, a commercial and service complex, hotels, and a 19-hectare themed water park. Once completed, the development is expected to accommodate around 13,000 permanent residents and welcome approximately 11,000 tourists daily.

Strategically located on February 3rd Street, the project connects the two central wards of Vung Tau city. This prime location offers excellent connectivity to Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas via major transportation infrastructure such as National Highway 51, the Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway, the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway, and the upcoming Ben Luc-Long Thanh route. Additionally, the project is within a 60km radius of Long Thanh International Airport, enhancing accessibility for domestic and international tourists.

One of the project’s key highlights is the 19-hectare themed water park, divided into four cultural-historical zones. These zones respectively emulate the traditional lifestyle of Southern Vietnam, ancient European sea trade routes, the Oc Eo-Phu Nam culture, and the iconic wetlands of the Mekong Delta.

Among the water park’s standout features are a dual wave pool with heights of 1.8m and 2.4m, claimed to be the tallest in Vietnam, and a 300-meter-long water coaster, introduced as the longest in the Asia-Pacific region.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau province is renowned for its stunning coastline, boasting beautiful beaches such as Bai Sau, Bai Truoc, Ho Tram, and Ho Coc. Vung Tau, in particular, has long been celebrated as one of the most picturesque seaside cities in Southern Vietnam.

Beyond its tourism appeal, Ba Ria-Vung Tau is also known as the “oil and gas capital” of Vietnam. It serves as the country’s center for oil and gas exploration, processing, and export, housing critical infrastructure such as offshore rigs, refineries, specialized ports, and state-of-the-art oil and gas service facilities. These industries play a pivotal role in Vietnam’s economy.
